Southern Living’s recent article celebrated the SS United States and shared about the Conservancy's plans for our future SS United States Museum and Visitor Experience:
“Plans for the SS United States Museum and Visitor Experience are underway…The land-based attraction will celebrate the ship’s legacy with hands-on exhibits, vintage photographs, and artifacts from her golden era.
The ship’s six-story smokestacks have already been removed and are expected to serve as the museum’s centerpiece. On dry land, visitors will get a taste of her glamour, speed, and innovation. No dive suits or oxygen tanks required. “
